If you’re looking for a classy cocktail to sip on before a meal, you may want to try a Manhattan. When it comes to Manhattans it is truly an acquired taste, so be sure if you’ve never had one before to follow the recipe closely.
- 2oz Rye Whiskey (I recommend Redemption barrel proof)
- 1oz Sweet Vermouth (I recommend Martini & Rossi Rosso Sweet Vermouth)
- 3-5 dashes of Angostura Bitters
How to make it
Using a mixing class combine all the ingredients and add ice. Shake the mixing glass well (typically 7 seconds is a good shake) and strain into a martini glass. Finish the cocktail off with a maraschino cherry. Sip and enjoy!
